Playoff Contenders/Rankings (Dattilo)

Screw you CBS. While watching the game on CBS halfway through the first quarter, CBS all of a sudden decided to change the game to the Ravens/Bengals game? Who the hell watches the Bengals CBS? The Browns may be having a shitty season, but i can promise you every Browns fan is still watching every last game they have this season. We are actually true fans, and not fair weather fans like Bengals fans. Honestly, it is safe to say during a shitty season for both teams, for ever 10 Cleveland fans who watch the Browns, there is probably 1/2 a Cincy fan watching the Bengals. Yes, Bengals fans are that bad. Although it pissed me off CBS flip flopped the game on me, it turns out i did not miss much. So, with that being said, i am not going to waste my time saying the same stuff i have been saying all year (DA sucks, Braylon can't watch, Crennel is an Idiot, Screw you guys, etc). Instead, I am going to do a overall ranking for the NFL teams who i think will be in the playoffs and rate them from most to least likely to represent the conference in the Super Bowl.

AFC

1. Titans: These guys are the real deal, and they are definitely going to have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Their next game is vs. the Browns, whose starting QB is Ken Dorsey (GULP..... except i rather watch his ass than DA). They already got their one loss out of the way, and what better way to bounce back then two games vs. shitty teams (lions, browns). The defense is ridiculous, the running game is great, and that O-Line is incredible. The only thing holding this team back will be Kerry Collins. He might end up getting drunk before a playoff game, and cost the Titans the game, by throwing 2 INT's. After the 2 INT's Jeff Fisher will put Vince Young in the game, and he will end up killing himself by overdosing on depression pills.

2. Colts: I honestly think these guys are the next best team. They are 8-4 and currently on a 5 game winning streak. Their next two games as vs. the Bengals and Lions. Wow, they will easily be 10-4 in two weeks. The scary thing is, they are doing this all in a silent matter. The Media has not jumped on the bandwagon, and that is definitely how the colts like it. It doesn't matter if they are playing shitty teams, because they are gaining a boat load of confidence. Also, i wouldn't pay much attention to the fact they only beat the Browns 10-6. Historically, Peyton Manning has never played well vs the Browns, so every time they play, it is always a close score.

3. Steelers: God i hate these guys, but i can't be biased, they are a pretty damn good team. Big Ben does just enough with that running game, to get the job done. I am not going to praise them anymore, because i am about to throw up.

4. Jets: There is a big drop off after the top three. I am putting the Jets here, because they should win their division, so they will get a home game. Favre at home should be enough for a first rd playoff win. Although, don't be blinded by the fact Favre is playing for the Jets. He is not the main reason this team is successful this year. He almost has more INT's than TD passes this year. Solid defense, and a great running game has been carrying this team. I am sure Favre's leadership has been a factor too.

5. Ravens: I hate the fact i am placing them here, and i also want to throw up again, but they are playing pretty good football right now. I really do not know how they are doing it. They have Joe Flacco at QB, and an overrated Willis McGahee. Their defense is led by an old ass criminal linebacker. Everything has just been falling in place this year for this team (lucky comeback vs browns). I am just not going to be giving them the credit they deserve yet. Next week they could easily be outside looking in. They still need to play the skins, cowboys, and Steelers.

6. Broncos: The fact they are going to win their division, make the playoffs, and even host a first round playoff game is a joke. If the Broncos and Browns switched divisions, the Browns would be in position to win the division at 7-5, while the Broncos would be sitting at 4-8 in the AFC North.

Outside Looking In

Pats and Dolphins: I believe one of these teams will make a move into the top 6 by next week. The Pats play the Seahawks and Raiders the next two weeks. They can redeem themselves with a two game winning streak after the stomping they received from the Steelers. The Dolphins have a key divisional game vs. the Bills (divisional games for tiebreaker), and then face the Chiefs and 49ers. It is starting to look like teams are catching up to their little wildcat offense, but we will see. The Dolphins remind me more of a 2007 Cleveland Browns team, than a playoff team.

NFC rankings will be later this week.
