I’m not Paul Warfield, Webster Slaughter or Jim Brown. I’ve given my all to this city for four years, and I realize it will never be enough. I went to the Pro Bowl last year and resurrected this team from the darkness, and nobody cared.”
“People in this town believe they are entitled to too much. They have been disrespectful to me and my family. I’ve gone out in public with my family and have had to deal with being called foul names. My parents have been called vulgar things at restaurants.”
“My biggest problem is that I actually give a damn. I’m always rushing back from surgeries and injuries, never missing games or practices. But through this, I’ve learned how to overcome adversity. I’m also proud of how my foundation has taken off. I’ve been doing all this community service in Cleveland … my charity efforts will only be in Detroit from now on.”
http://blog.cleveland.com/bransonwright/2008/12/cleveland_browns_braylon_edwar.html
Let me just start out by saying FUCK YOU Edwards! If there is one thing to be learned here it is, DO NOT DRAFT MICHIGAN PLAYERS! They suck, Chris Weber, Call a timeout dumbass, HEY Alan Branch, Hows breaking into the Arizona Starting lineup been? Michael Hart, hell of year you had in the pros huh? I'm sure the Browns will really miss your 20 dropped passes this season Braylon, and your pedestrian 800 yds receiving when there are teams with 3 yes count them THREE players over a thousand yards receiving this year. For all the self proclaimed hype you fucking asshole. This is the classic case of the petulant child is taking his ball and going home.
He has the chance to take things and control them, but instead he continues to act like an ass.
I guess it's only fitting that someone like him goes back to a place like Detroit, I'll trade them Edwards for Calvin Johnson straight up. Teams have done it in the past without a strong running game or a tremendous star receiver, case in point the New England Patriots (before Moss). However we do not have the defense they have. Whos Tenn titans main number one receiver? I hope the browns get rid of you. He claims that his parents have been called names...I'll call bullshit on that one. Lets take a not on who here knows Braylon's parents, let alone what they look like? Oh no one...umm thought so. It is for this reason that Braylon gets the Dick Vermil Crybaby asshole of the week award, Congrats cock sucker, you earned it! God I hate when people make themselves to be more well known and important than they really are, not at all like my articles here, Phil Savage reads these religiously.
Now on to some more coaching names that I would like to throw out there:
Mike Nolan- He has some intensity, looks snappy in a suit, and the best thing he has going for him...He's not Romeo Crennel! The fact that he has a brain and a pulse is reason enough to me to consider him an upgrade over RAC attack. Hell even Dattilo fits that build, maybe he should be coach, I cant even type that with a straight face. We all know I would make a better coach and GM.
I still want Mike Singletery, Lerner, make it happen please. He is awesome and all that is a football coach. He is close to Andra Davis's equal. He is the quinesential "all that and a bag of chips" .
For the Steve Heiden Award for unheralded offensive player on Monday night football goes to....Brandon McDonald! I was more confident with our defense on the field that we would score than with our offense this game, since Quinn went down . His late touchdown put an end to the near month long drought of my beloved Browns going without one. So thank you b-mac for that and giving us REAL browns fans who stayed watching for the whole game...(Hint Dattilo turned it off before opening kickoff like the little bandwagoner he is).
On the defensive side for the Andra Davis God's gift to football award goes to...(drum roll please)- Brandon McDonald!!!! Thats right a rare two sided win for him. Thanks to him and his timely ints, he kept the game from being a 50 pt blow out and kept it to a far less embarrassing loss and gave us browns fans a little something to cheer about other than draft dayI suppose....Andra Davis came in a close second with a team leading 10 tackles, even though they were 10 yards down the field. Details, details....
Edwards Cleveland may have hurt your feelings, but now you have disrespected my famiery and I despise you deeply. Note to Browns organization no Mich player will ever be welcomed here unless their name is Aaron Shea (the leagues best TE ever) period.

Billionare Club Meeting (Dattilo)
First off i want to brush up on what Chandler said in his last blog post.
Chandler:"So I've been thinking about doing some sort of awards and Mr.negativity himself (Datillo for those of you who were confused) told me it would be too hard and boring to do every week...waaa...waaa..waaa..He is just simply "TOO BUSY" for his audience. "
- Just like Chandler to only tell 1/8 of the story. I simply said it would get old if he kept giving out fictional awards every post he had. Yes, i said every post, because he has no other ideas so he has to make up awards every time he posts. Also learn how to spell my last name. Two t's one l.
Chandler:"So I have decided to do something unorthodox and think outside of the box and start the awards near the end of the season, hell why not."
-Yeah dipshit you are really going outside the box there. I'm sure no one has ever given out fictional awards in their blog before. Not even ESPN journalists do this. *eyes rolling*
Chandler:"The Steve Heiden Award for unheralded offensive player of the game goes to...Steve Heiden! His catches in the game against the Titans were instrumental in keeping us from getting shut out."
- This is only Chandler's first week of giving out fictional awards, and he already is predictable. You already wrote an entire blog about Heiden's eyes Chandler, get over it. He sucks anyway.
Lastly this is my take on how the convo between Lerner and Savage would go:
Lerner: "So Savage I hear you actually want to hire Iowa's head coach to
become the head coach of the Cleveland Browns"
Savage: "Yes he is a great friend of mine and I think he brings the
knowledge and intensity to become successful at the next level!"
Lerner: "Uh what? Sorry, i am reading this email from the Manchester United
GM. He wants to make a trade with my soccer franchise, Aston Villa, in
England. He is offering me a trade at the goalie position. You think
i should offer Braylon as a goalie? He can't catch worth a shit
anyway. Goalies do not need to catch the ball right? All they need
to do is block"
Anyway on to real talk. The MLB winter meetings are occurring this week. I always thought this was a dumb idea. They might as well call it the MLB Billionare's Club meeting. This is where all the big market teams' (New Yorks, LA's, San Fran, etc) owners meet up, sip on some Crown Royal, discuss their farm systems (all small market MLB teams: Indians, Twins, Royals, Marlins, etc ,etc), and make fun of Bud Selig, because he is so easy to walk over and they will never have a salary cap with him as the commissioner, so they can always buy their World Series title. I mean seriously, there has been about 10 signings or trades since these meetings occurred, and i bet you can only name the moves made by big market teams. CC to the Yanks, and K-Rod to the Mets. Other noteworthy moves like the Tribe signing Kerry Wood is now third tier news, because of the winter meetings. Speaking of the mentioned moves, I really like the Kerry Wood signing for the Tribe. It is only two years, so it is definitely worth taking the risk on a damn good pitcher. I mean, come on, its a lot better than Blowoski, and our current closer, who goes by the name of, "closer by committee." As for the CC signing, I bet that deal silenced the idiots who thought CC shouldn't have been traded to begin with. Whether our "prospects" become anything out of that trade, at least we got something for him. Imagine if we didn't trade him. This is pretty much how it would play out:
1. Tribe still doesn't make the playoffs.
2. Yankees still offer 160 Mil, making CC the highest paid pitcher ever, despite the fact that the economy is not doing so well.
3. All Tribe fans are pissed, because they think CC is a traitor.
4. We get no prospects.
Yeah we definitely shouldn't have traded him..... idiots.
Before i wrap this blog entry up, i promised i would give my NFC playoff rankings. Sorry so late, however here is a short rundown:
1. Giants: You lose a game, have your top wr on the brink of living with the OZ cast, and you have to deal with the NY media...... Despite that, you still clinched the NFC East. Yeah things are going pretty well this season.
2.Panthers: They looked pretty legit Monday night vs the Bucs. They are 7-0 at home, and if they somehow jump ahead of the Giants to gain home field advantage, these guys def can make a run at the Super Bowl.
3. Vikings: Adrian Peterson, their O-Line, and that defense can take this team on a good run to the Super Bowl. However if half their D-Line ends up getting suspended, then do not expect them to do anything, and in fact place this team at #6 if that's the case.
4. Buccaneers: I placed them below the vikes, because not having home field will hurt them.
5. Cardinals: They will have a home game in the first rd of the playoffs, however I can not see them beating the panthers, or the Giants if they win that first game. In fact, they already got pounded by the Giants, at home. Congrats on the first division title though.
6. Falcons: This is a tough one. I place them here instead of the Cowboys, because their remaining schedule is a bit easier than the Cowboys. If this were a regular season power ranking, they would be ranked ahead of the cards, and vikings, however a rookie coach, and rookie qb in the playoffs is something to be wary about.
Outside looking in: Cowboys, Eagles, Bears: The Eagles get to play the Browns, but be careful the Browns are 2-0 on MNF this year. They still need to play the cowboys, which might be a deciding factor on who gets the last slot in the playoffs. If they sneak in the playoffs i would rank them fourth. As for the Cowboys, they are in the same type of position. Two tough teams left, and an easy team. We will see how they respond to that heartbreaking loss from last week. If they sneak in the playoffs i have them at #3. They could easily be this year's Giants. As for the bears, its a long shot, but they have the easiest games remaining out of all the teams mentioned above, including the falcons. If things go right, they could sneak in there, where they would lose in the first rd.

Steve Heiden Might as Well be a Cyclops (Chandler)
So the Cavs have made NBA history tonight as being the first team to ever win 9 games in a row in which they demolished and demoralized the competition by 9 or more points in a row. I mean congratulations but doesn't that sound like a bogus award to you? I mean its like giving someone an award named Chandler for posting the most about the browns consistently after work while in two states, living in a house for the last 4 months. I mean what difference does the 9 points man? Why not 10 points, 15 points, hell why not 50? I get it, they're good! I mean who actually sits around and discovers these " milestones"? I mean not to sound bitter, I like hearing about my teams so any bit of news is welcome but this just seems hollow to me.
Anyway, on the the topic at hand. I've been thinking about doing some sort of awards and Mr.negativity himself (Datillo for those of you who were confused) told me it would be too hard and boring to do every week...waaa...waaa..waaa..He is just simply "TOO BUSY" for his audience. He went on to fawn some more but I stopped listening. So I have decided to do something unorthodox and think outside of the box and start the awards near the end of the season, hell why not.
So here it is, The Steve Heiden Award for unheralded offensive player of the game goes to...Steve Heiden! His catches in the game against the Titans were instrumental in keeping us from getting shut out. I think he caught his passes because his disability of having eyes so close together enables him to have superhuman hand eye coordination.
On Defense we have the Andra Davis is God's gift to football award which goes out to Dqwell Jackson for his superior LBer play on Sunday. He is quietly leading the league in tackles as his instincts make up for the lack of size and the INT didn't hurt either....
In Mary Kay's latest article seen here:
http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2008/12/schottenheimer_says_coaching_c.html
She talks with Marty about his coming to Cleveland as the head coach. And guess what FOLKS? He says that he thinks he is done with head coaching in the NFL but does not rule it out for the right price, instead he alluded to wanting a front office gig with none other than Bill Cowher as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns! "Asked specifically by a caller if he'd consider becoming Browns head coach again, he said, "I don't ever say 'never' if I don't have to but I don't see it (going back to coach the Cleveland Browns) as being likely."
Well I would be up for that as it seems it would be the best of both worlds involving both Cleveland legends. I think it would be a great have Cowher scowling on the sideline with Marty in the front office.
Here's what I think Lerner's last conversation with ole' Opie (Phil Savage since Datillo doesn't think anyone gets the reference to Opie from the Andy Griffith Show played by Ron Howard; He has no faith in our readers) should be:
Lerner: "So Savage I hear you actually want to hire Iowa's head coach to become the head coach of the Cleveland Browns"
Opie: "Yes he is a great friend of mine and I think he brings the knowledge and intensity to become successful at the next level!"
Lerner: "Get the FUCK out of my office! YOU'RE FIRED!!!!!!!!! He is on the hot seat at freakin' Iowa for Christ sakes! You idiot, I am going to call in and get a REAL gm in here to clean up this mess, not some two bit college scout."
Least that's the way I see it happening....

Well Thank God, Savage sees Talent!! (Chandler)
Well in the most recent Press Conference Savage states that he thinks this years 4 win mark is an aberration. Meaning that it is not something the Browns fans should become accustomed to. Umm Savage you mean the only thing the Browns have done since you took over, we should no longer expect? You mean the 6 win season, followed by the 4 win season, followed by the 10 win season to the now 4 win season again is not usual for you?
This prick then goes on to say that he sees talent here and thinks we should improve. Well thank god he thinks he sees talent, its HIS talent, and HIS players that are here! Let me tell you what I see out of you Mr. Savage! I see a team full of high priced free agents without and real homegrown veterans. We only have 3 real Browns vets on our team :Dawson, Davis, and Heiden. I then see wasted/busts in the draft. You see talent do you? Well where in the hell is the talent in Frye, Oshinowo, Paul Hubbard, Luke McCowin, Antonio Perkins, god I could go on and on on how you screwed up in the draft missing out on great players who were a need at that time. Is this the same talent evaluator who took Wimbley over Ngata? THe same talent evaluator who brought in Jason Fisk and Donte Stallworth? The same one who drafts our franchise QB but doesn't allow him to play until the season is over because he screwed up our cap and couldnt afford to pay him his incentives he he played?
Yea that's right I said it, Savage couldn't afford to play players this year to their full extent because he over stretched us in the cap space. that's why we could run Jamal Lewis any more against the Colts, He was afraid that Lewis would reach 1,500 yds on the season and reach a his $3mil bonus. Then the pompous ass goes on to say that you can't listen to the fans because they are fans. News flash jerk! The fans are smarter than you! Everyone in the right mind could see Dumbass was the not the answer at QB, now perhaps this goes on RAC as well, but every report I see points towards Savage and the screwed cap space.
Lets evaluate his performance so far, he brought in high priced aging vets who basically contributed in the locker room and not on the field. He failed to stop media wild fires several times this season including the Winslow debacle, and the fan e-mail he told to fuck off. He let Dumbass run our team into the ground, wasted many valuable draft picks, overspent in FA, has had zero playoff appearances, pissed his coach, the team, fans, and the City of Cleveland off, Resigned Dumbass to a THREE year deal when only the one year restricted FA tender would have sufficed in which then a team would have to give up a 1st and a 3rd pick to get him. God Savage get off your high horse and realize what you have done. NOTHING! Except alienate your fans and players, way to go Opie!
http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/article.php?id=9232
I'm seriously so sick of talking about the Browns that I am now delegating my attention to a team worthy of it...THE Cavaliers! Unless big news or I actually have to something to new to write about the Browns other than Braylon sucks, dorsey sucks, RAC sucks, Savage sucks, the team lost, etc... I will no longer post about the Browns until after the season. And no I am still watching all the games, I just fell like I am on repeat. Hey Vince get off your ass and finish your article already I want to see you have in the NFC.

Playoff Contenders/Rankings (Dattilo)
Screw you CBS. While watching the game on CBS halfway through the first quarter, CBS all of a sudden decided to change the game to the Ravens/Bengals game? Who the hell watches the Bengals CBS? The Browns may be having a shitty season, but i can promise you every Browns fan is still watching every last game they have this season. We are actually true fans, and not fair weather fans like Bengals fans. Honestly, it is safe to say during a shitty season for both teams, for ever 10 Cleveland fans who watch the Browns, there is probably 1/2 a Cincy fan watching the Bengals. Yes, Bengals fans are that bad. Although it pissed me off CBS flip flopped the game on me, it turns out i did not miss much. So, with that being said, i am not going to waste my time saying the same stuff i have been saying all year (DA sucks, Braylon can't watch, Crennel is an Idiot, Screw you guys, etc). Instead, I am going to do a overall ranking for the NFL teams who i think will be in the playoffs and rate them from most to least likely to represent the conference in the Super Bowl.
AFC
1. Titans: These guys are the real deal, and they are definitely going to have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Their next game is vs. the Browns, whose starting QB is Ken Dorsey (GULP..... except i rather watch his ass than DA). They already got their one loss out of the way, and what better way to bounce back then two games vs. shitty teams (lions, browns). The defense is ridiculous, the running game is great, and that O-Line is incredible. The only thing holding this team back will be Kerry Collins. He might end up getting drunk before a playoff game, and cost the Titans the game, by throwing 2 INT's. After the 2 INT's Jeff Fisher will put Vince Young in the game, and he will end up killing himself by overdosing on depression pills.
2. Colts: I honestly think these guys are the next best team. They are 8-4 and currently on a 5 game winning streak. Their next two games as vs. the Bengals and Lions. Wow, they will easily be 10-4 in two weeks. The scary thing is, they are doing this all in a silent matter. The Media has not jumped on the bandwagon, and that is definitely how the colts like it. It doesn't matter if they are playing shitty teams, because they are gaining a boat load of confidence. Also, i wouldn't pay much attention to the fact they only beat the Browns 10-6. Historically, Peyton Manning has never played well vs the Browns, so every time they play, it is always a close score.
3. Steelers: God i hate these guys, but i can't be biased, they are a pretty damn good team. Big Ben does just enough with that running game, to get the job done. I am not going to praise them anymore, because i am about to throw up.
4. Jets: There is a big drop off after the top three. I am putting the Jets here, because they should win their division, so they will get a home game. Favre at home should be enough for a first rd playoff win. Although, don't be blinded by the fact Favre is playing for the Jets. He is not the main reason this team is successful this year. He almost has more INT's than TD passes this year. Solid defense, and a great running game has been carrying this team. I am sure Favre's leadership has been a factor too.
5. Ravens: I hate the fact i am placing them here, and i also want to throw up again, but they are playing pretty good football right now. I really do not know how they are doing it. They have Joe Flacco at QB, and an overrated Willis McGahee. Their defense is led by an old ass criminal linebacker. Everything has just been falling in place this year for this team (lucky comeback vs browns). I am just not going to be giving them the credit they deserve yet. Next week they could easily be outside looking in. They still need to play the skins, cowboys, and Steelers.
6. Broncos: The fact they are going to win their division, make the playoffs, and even host a first round playoff game is a joke. If the Broncos and Browns switched divisions, the Browns would be in position to win the division at 7-5, while the Broncos would be sitting at 4-8 in the AFC North.
Outside Looking In
Pats and Dolphins: I believe one of these teams will make a move into the top 6 by next week. The Pats play the Seahawks and Raiders the next two weeks. They can redeem themselves with a two game winning streak after the stomping they received from the Steelers. The Dolphins have a key divisional game vs. the Bills (divisional games for tiebreaker), and then face the Chiefs and 49ers. It is starting to look like teams are catching up to their little wildcat offense, but we will see. The Dolphins remind me more of a 2007 Cleveland Browns team, than a playoff team.
NFC rankings will be later this week.

AFC
